The Council of Canadians has collaborated with COPE 378 on speaking tours and other events. The CoC supposedly fears that run-of-river water licences will lead to foreign control over our rivers. But the CoC didn’t express those fears when the former provincial government was in office. At that time water licences lasted forever. The present government has limited water licences to a maximum of 40 years.
Now the CoC objects.
